Also known as Attiva(™) RF or Attiva(™) Deep Heating, this minimally invasive skin tightening and collagen-stimulating treatment uses Radiofrequency (RF) energy beneath the skin. It is often described as a “non-surgical facelift” or a “deep tissue remodeling” treatment.
How does Attiva™ work?
Attiva™ uses Radiofrequency (RF) energy. This unique system also uses micro-cannula technology to ensure that the energy is delivered in the most targeted way possible, just the medical way of referring to small cannulas or tubes incorporated into the treatment process. It presents a non-invasive alternative to aggressive non-surgical- and invasive surgical treatments to restore lax, flabby, and poorly defined contours. With enhanced safety features and utmost precision, Attiva™ is associated with minimal tenderness post-treatment, no scarring, and versatile applications (for multiple treatment areas on the face, neck, and body).
What does treatment feel like?
Treatment is performed while you recline in one of our comfortable, ergonomic chairs. Once you are relaxed, we start by marking the sites to be treated. These areas are also cleansed with a topical solution. Before inserting the cannulas to deliver the RF energy, each site to be treated is numbed fully with a localized anesthetic. We can also discuss nerve and/or field blocks for utmost comfort. A tumescent anesthetic solution is also most appropriate for treating bigger areas, such as saggy tissues on the abdomen. After the cannula is (painlessly) applied and penetrates the targeted tissues, we ensure the right temperature and retraction are achieved. Treatment (per site) takes around 20 minutes to an hour. During treatment, you should not feel any pain or discomfort; however, you may feel fleeting pressure and pinching at the site(s).
And what can I expect afterward?
While we may apply compression garments to the treatment zones, sutures and drains are unnecessary due to the therapy’s non-invasive, light-touch nature. You may experience some mild bruising or swelling for several days afterward. This is normal. The minimal discomfort associated with treatment can also be managed with OTC anti-inflammatories or acetaminophen. If you feel ready, you can return to your regular activities without medical restrictions.
When will I see the results?
Tightening begins right away. It continues to improve over the next 45 to 60 days as collagen and elastin are produced to firm the skin. Results continue to get better and better for six months. And, once they have been achieved, you only need annual or biennial touch-up treatment sessions to maintain them!
