Using VI peels to improve your skin’s appearance and health

At Splendid Aesthetics, we offer patients in the Kyle, Texas, area a wide selection of skin services to improve the health, beauty, and radiance of their natural appearance. This includes the use of VI Peels.

What is a VI Peel?

The VI Peel is a gentle yet powerful medical-grade chemical peel. It helps improve the skin’s appearance by exfoliating the upper layer and allowing new skin cells to develop.

How often do I need a VI Peel?

VI Peels can be done regularly, depending on your individual needs and preferences. Consider repeating the VI Peel every four to six weeks or as recommended by Dr. Robyn Roberts and her team at Splendid Aesthetics.

What can the VI Peel treat?

The VI Peel can treat a variety of skin concerns, including:

  • Sun damage
  • Wrinkles and fine lines
  • Acne and acne scars
  • Hyperpigmentation (dark spots)
  • Melasma
  • Large pores
  • Dull complexion
  • Overall skin tone, texture, clarity, and radiance

What is the recovery time after a VI Peel?

Typically, you can expect the recovery time for a VI Peel to be anywhere from four to seven days. During this time, your skin will be more sensitive and prone to irritation, so you need to take proper steps to protect it from damage, especially sun damage. You should avoid direct sunlight following your treatment. You should always use sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 every day. Avoid wearing makeup or any other products during the healing process, and keep the skin moisturized, as Dr. Robyn Roberts recommends. Though you may experience some redness or flaking during the recovery period, these effects will typically subside within a few days.
