How do I take care of my skin after Skinpen microneedling?
Immediately after your Skinpen microneedling appointment, your skin may be flushed, red, and uncomfortable to the touch. These concerns typically go away within the first day or two. Patients might also notice some areas of dry skin, acne breakouts, or small bumps that appear days after the treatment. These are common but do not happen to every patient. Swelling may also be noticeable for a few days after treatment, and patients may notice flaking or peeling of the skin.
Post-microneedling downtime is typically short compared to other more aggressive treatments, like laser skin rejuvenation, making it a popular choice for patients with busy schedules–including those unable to take social time off. Our team may recommend gentle cleansers, moisturizers, and topical skincare products to improve the skin’s appearance as it heals.
